and last season's B league champions Darnall Cricket Club taking on Oceanville Cricket Club at 12:00 and defending champions Manor A taking on Dawnheights Cricket Club at 15:00.
This season's league competition sees a whopping R10 000 sponsorship boost from the Director of Prestige Real Estate Jemendra Haripershad.
He had this to say: "It is through sports that we hope to achieve unity and a sense of team work in our community.  Participation in sports has numerous benefits and we hope to empower the youth and create a positive impact their lives. We hope to foster positive relationships in our community and to enhance self-confidence, physical and mental well-being through their participation in cricket. These form the building blocks of a foundation which will see the youth progressing resiliently into adulthood."
President of iLembe Cricket Union Desigan Pillay thanked Prestige Real Estate and Haripershad for his
philanthropy and said: "We thank Jemendra for his continued support and generosity. This huge boost will
inject enthusiasm and passion towards the game of cricket and ensure that competition is played at high intensity and skill."
